Part A: General
1. Who we are
VibeFare is a trading name of Syncworx Ltd, 19 Rampart Mill, Dundalk, Co Louth, Ireland (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@vibefare.ie.
2. What we do
VibeFare is an app that connects riders with taxi drivers licensed by the National Transport Authority (NTA) as small public service vehicle (SPSV) drivers. The driver provides the taxi trip. We provide the booking, payment and support service around it.
3. Your account
- You sign in with your mobile number. Keep your phone and sign-in codes to yourself.
- Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.
- One person, one account. Do not let anyone else use yours.
4. Fair use
Do not misuse the service: no fraud, abuse or threats towards drivers, riders or staff, no false bookings, and no attempts to get around the app's security. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.
5. Personal data
Our privacy notice explains how we use your data. You can delete your account at any time.
6. Complaints
Tell us first through Help in the app or by email. We record complaints about taxi services as the NTA requires. You can also complain to the NTA directly.
7. Liability
[To be completed with legal counsel: limitation of liability, consumer rights that cannot be excluded, and the driver's responsibility for the trip.]
8. Law
These terms are governed by Irish law. The Irish courts have jurisdiction.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
Part B: Riders
10. Booking
Pickups are available in our current service area (the Dublin launch area to start). Drop-offs can be anywhere. You can book a Taxi (up to 4 passengers), a Taxi XL (5 to 8 passengers) or a wheelchair-accessible taxi, subject to a driver being available.
11. Fares
- All fares follow the National Maximum Taxi Fare set by the NTA. We do not use surge pricing.
- Metered: you pay what the taximeter shows, never more than the NTA maximum. We show an estimate and the maximum before you book.
- Fixed price: agreed before you book and never above the meter maximum for the trip.
- XL and wheelchair-accessible taxis cost the same as a standard taxi.
12. Paying
- Choose card (including Apple Pay and Google Pay) or cash when you book.
- Card: your card is held for the fare when a driver accepts and charged at the end of the trip. Payments are processed by Stripe.
- Cash: pay the driver at the end of the trip.
- Tips are optional and 100% go to the driver.
- Any cancellation charge is shown in the app before you book.
13. Fare queries and refunds
If you think you paid too much, send a fare query from the receipt in the app. We recalculate the legal maximum for the route actually driven. If you paid more than that, we refund the difference automatically.
14. Safety and conduct
In an emergency call 112 or 999. The app lets you call 112, alert our safety team and share your trip. Treat your driver and their vehicle with respect.
15. Lost property
Report lost items through Help in the app. If a return fee applies, it is shown before you confirm and paid in full to the driver.
Part C: Drivers
16. Who can drive
Only drivers with a valid SPSV driver licence, SPSV vehicle licence and SPSV insurance. We check your documents with the NTA register and verify your identity before you can go online. If any of them expires, your account is suspended automatically until you upload a valid replacement.
17. Identity checks
We verify your identity with Stripe Identity (a photo of your ID and a selfie), at sign-up and sometimes when you start a shift. This needs your explicit consent. If you prefer, ask us for manual in-person verification instead.
18. Platform fee
- A flat fee of €2.00 plus 23% VAT (€2.46) per completed card or in-app ride.
- Cash rides: no fee.
- Monthly cap: once your fees reach €100 net (plus VAT) in a calendar month (Irish time), you pay no more fees until the next month. If less than a full fee is left under the cap, you pay only the remainder.
- Tips never carry a fee and never count towards the cap.
- If a trip is fully refunded, the fee is given back and your cap is restored.
- Founding driver offers, if agreed with you in writing, apply on top of these terms.
- We send you a monthly fee statement and VAT invoice.
19. Getting paid
Card fares and tips are charged on your own Stripe Connect account and paid out to your bank by Stripe. Card processing fees are set and charged by Stripe and paid by you. The platform fee is taken from each card payment at the time of the charge.
20. Fares you charge
You must never charge more than the NTA maximum fare. For fixed-price trips you accept the agreed price. If a fare query shows an overcharge, the difference is refunded to the rider.
21. Location
While you are online the app shares your location to offer you trips and show riders where you are. Going offline stops tracking.
22. Leaving
You can stop driving and delete your account at any time. We keep trip, payment, fee and VAT records as long as Irish law requires.
