The fare is the fare
Every trip follows the National Maximum Taxi Fare set by the NTA. No surge, no busy-hour multipliers.

Only drivers with a valid SPSV driver licence, SPSV vehicle licence and SPSV insurance can take trips. When one expires, the driver is suspended automatically.

A flat fee, capped every month
No commission on your fares. You pay a small fee on card rides until you hit the monthly cap, then nothing for the rest of the month.

That is the €100 cap plus VAT (€123), whether you do 100 card rides or 300.
Paid to your own account
Card fares and tips go to your Stripe Connect account and out to your bank. Card processing fees are charged by Stripe at its rates. Refunded trips give the fee back and restore your cap.

You need a valid SPSV driver licence, SPSV vehicle licence and SPSV insurance. We check your documents and identity when you sign up.

Where does VibeFare work?
We're starting in Dublin. At launch, pickups are inside the Dublin launch area: inside the M50, the city centre and docklands, and Dublin Airport. You can travel anywhere from there. Next: Wicklow, Kildare, Meath, Cork and Galway.
How is my fare worked out?
Every fare follows the National Maximum Taxi Fare set by the NTA. You either pay what the taximeter shows, or a fixed price agreed before you book that is never above the meter maximum for the trip. You see a quote before you book.
Is there surge pricing?
No. Fares do not go up when it is busy, late or raining. Taxi XL and wheelchair-accessible taxis cost the same as a standard taxi.
What if I think I was overcharged?
Send a fare query from your receipt in the app. We recalculate the legal maximum for the route you actually drove, and if you paid more than that, the difference is refunded automatically.
How can I pay?
In the app by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, or in cash to the driver. You choose before you book.
Are the drivers licensed?
Yes. Every driver holds a valid SPSV driver licence, SPSV vehicle licence and SPSV insurance. If any of them expires, the driver is automatically suspended and gets no more trips until it is renewed.
When can I download the app?
Soon. The rider and driver apps are coming to the App Store and Google Play. The download links will appear on this page when they are live.
I drive a taxi. What does it cost?
A flat platform fee of €2.00 plus 23% VAT (€2.46) per completed card ride. Cash rides are free. Fees stop for the month once you reach €100 (plus VAT), and tips always go 100% to you. Card processing fees are charged by Stripe and paid by the driver.
How do drivers get paid?
Card fares and tips are paid into your own Stripe Connect account and paid out to your bank. Cash fares you keep on the spot.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile, then Delete account. You can also email support@vibefare.ie. See the delete account page for what is removed and what the law requires us to keep.
